What is it?
An e-resource for global newspapers and business information.

Example search: 
Find an article from a UK newspaper
Find an article from a global newspaper
Find global company information 

How do I log in?: Type Factiva into Library Search and click on the blue link to launch.  If off campus you may need to sign in again using your university username and password.

How to use Factiva... 

To find newspaper articles from UK newspapers and particular publications (e.g. the Financial Times): 
Type you search terms (e.g. Facebook and shares) into the search box.  The default search will look for these words in top UK newspapers, you can change this to particular publications or all source by changing the default in the source section- see video below.

To find global company information:

Click on the companies/markets tab from the menu along the top of the page and select company from the menu.  Search for the company name in the search box.

Please note that there is now a one month embargo on the Financial Times, contrary to what is said on the video clip.
